All kinds of submission follow the same procedure of evaluation and have to be in accordance with the recommendations defined in the present document.

1.2. Manuscript Selection

The Journal publishes original papers where no earlier publication has been done. The Journal uses double-blind peer review, which means that both the reviewers and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. Paper sent in its entirety are evaluated transparently by two members of the scientific committee selected by the secretary of the journal. The editor of an issue may suggest reviewers or experts on the subject outside the scientific committee.

The evaluation criteria concern the form and content. Reviewers use assessment grid for evaluating. The final decision is taken by the editorial committed after consulting the reviewers. It will be transmitted to the author as soon as possible. The decision reads: Publication of the paper, Publication with minor corrections, Publication with major corrections, Rejection. In case of publication with corrections, a period is given to the author to transmit the corrected version. The editorial board retains the right not to publish the paper if the required corrections have not been made.

1.3. Rights-of-Use

The authors who submit their papers to the Etudes Caribéennes journal agree to publish their articles for free. They relinquish, free and non-exclusive, the paper and electronic broadcasting rights that allow the Journal to ensure the free and fair distribution, as well as sale in all media and formats.

The income earned from sales and the sponsoring is exclusively reused for the operation, the development and the enhancement of the journal. According to the modalities of their choices, authors have right to disseminate the articles published in the journal, provided that, as required the legislation, the references must completely appear by mentioning the journal. Authors can deposit the published version, on the university warehouse of their establishment.
